Three Bolo Ties
2025. Xalda wool, cochineal, sterling silver.
A series of three bolo ties, each one made intentionally for a specific loved one in mind, to whom the object was then gifted. Made using hand-spun and naturally-dyed heritage Xalda wool collected directly from a shepherd in Asturias, the bolo ties create an open dialogue with the concepts of fabricated masculinity, queerness, and Chicana lesbian identity.
