Jacinta Bujanda Suárez (New York, 2001) is a visual artist whose practice focuses on borderlands as much as on rootedness, understanding these two as far from opposite forces. Drawing from her diverse ethnic background, she has cultivated a keen interest in examining the intricate intersections between race, gender, and sexual orientation, with a focus on their sociocultural ramifications. Her material practice is rooted in fiber arts, utilizing local wool and natural dyes, thereby underscoring her deep connection to the various geographical origins of these materials.

Jacinta's work has been exhibited in New York at the NoMAA @ 4140 Gallery and in Asturias (Spain) at the Palacio Valdés Bazán. She has completed a residency program at the Fabra i Coats: Fàbrica de Creació in Barcelona and is currently pursuing her MFA in Artistic Production and Research at the Universitat de Barcelona while being an artist in residence at the Textile Workshop of the Escola Massana.
